Welcome to the website of St. Bartholomew, a parish of the Anglican Catholic Church in the Diocese of the South.
If you have found us you are probably looking for a church to call home, a place to renew or strengthen your faith and a place to instill the Christian faith in your children.
Our little white church with the bright red doors is conveniently located on the Rt. 70 corridor between New Bern and Havelock, NC.
St. Bartholomew’s is a church undergoing change and revitalization. We have a solid history of orthodox Christian teaching, faithfulness to The Faith as it has been handed down, and it is a warm and friendly family of parishioners. While some of us are older, there are a few who are younger, and we would love to attract young families who find our warmth, teaching and sacred worship to be different and uplifting. St. Paul in his Letter to the Hebrew’s say’s that “we should worship God with reverence and awe”. That is what sacred worship is about – the focus is on God, through Christ and not on us. Our worship is centered around Holy Communion, as it has been for the vast majority of Christian people around the world since the beginning of the Christian Church.
As a church we know that we do not exist for ourselves but for the life of the world. Our mission is to strengthen and encourage your faith and family.
Although our WEB site is undergoing some minor construction (currently the Calendar Page is not completed) we are trying to keep it as current as possible.
